As first-generation organic vegetable farmers, we understand how difficult the learning curve can be. Whether you’re just starting out with from-scratch recipes, developing your garden skills, or even pursuing a career in agriculture, we have a few skill-sharing opportunities to help.

Farm & Gardening Workshops

Farmer Roxanne offer workshops on a case-by-case basis across the Greater Milwaukee area. Cost and time (usually 2-4 hours) varies by topic.

Possible topics include:

  • Vermicomposting: indoor composting with red wigglers

  • Mushroom cultivation: oysters, shiitake, and wine caps

  • Backyard chickens

  • Starting (and running) a school or community garden

  • Children’s farm field trips and activities for all ages

  • Garden design to blow your mind: plan your best garden step-by-step

  • Getting started with herbs

Garden Consultations

Make use of Farmer Roxanne’s 10+ years of experience when planning your garden! Our $200 (flat rate) consultation includes an in-depth analysis of your needs, desires, and growing space. Then, we meet at your site to observe and discuss plans in person, after which Roxanne provides an outline of next steps and a base map for your site, to scale, which you can reuse year after year.
